Historical Charm
Tucked amid the rolling countryside of Sparks, Maryland, The Milton Inn is a fine-dining retreat set within a 285-year-old fieldstone estate. Long considered a landmark, the building has served many lives — from a Quaker coach stop to an academy and antiques shop — before becoming a restaurant in 1946. After closing during the pandemic, it was revived in 2021 by restaurateur Tony Foreman and Executive Chef Chris Scanga.
Today, The Milton Inn channels the rustic romance of a French hunting lodge, blending historic character with contemporary elegance. The experience unfolds across two distinct spaces: a refined multi-course tasting menu in The Dining Room, and a more relaxed menu of seasonal fare and cocktails in The Tavern. Chef Scanga’s commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship shines through each dish, celebrating the richness of the Mid-Atlantic with cooking that honors tradition, innovation, and the land itself.
